4th Gakit Festival 2013

The 4^th Gakit Festival was successfully celebrated last March 31, 2013, guided with the theme: “Atong lantawon balik ang tinubdan para giya sa atong kalamboan”, held at Gigaquit Beach, Gigaquit Surigao del Norte.

The event was highlighted by different activities such as: Gakit Souvenir Making, Gakit Making, Gakit Racing, Gakit Beautification and Banner Raising. It was attended by the Provincial Vice Governor Arturo Carlos A. Egay, Jr., barangay officials, department heads, some municipal employees and the general public.

 The activities were participated by the 13 barangay of the municipality in which they were clustered in to 5 groups.

The celebration was ended untiringly and victoriously through the effort of the Municipal Tourism Office headed by Mr. Leopoldo B. Dedumo Jr., OIC-Tourism Officer. Everyone participated and cooperated that made the event indeed great and peaceful.
