Gigaquit Hymn

Background:

The Gigaquit Hymn was originally proposed by the Gigaquit Civic Club to the Gigaquit Municipal Government sometime in 2008.

In early 2009, as requested by the municipal government, the draft of the lyrics of Gigaquit Hymn was composed by Mrs. Carmelita Naldoza, Gigaquit DepEd District Supervisor, with inputs from several teachers.

Gigaquit Municipal Government Department Heads reviewed and refined the draft lyrics.

The music was then arranged by Dr. Roland Mira.

This was first sung in public at the Gigaquit Multi-purpose Center, on August 27, 2009
during the Gigaquit Annual Town Fiesta.
