SEA-K check turn over


Last February 14, 2012 the selected Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program of Gigaquit joined the Check Turn Over of the Self-Employment Assistance para sa Kaunlaran (SEA-K) Program Capital Seed Fund under the DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program held at Brgy. Bagakay Claver.


Gigaquit is vey lucky to avail this program together with the Municipalities of Claver and Tagana-an.Vice-Gov. Carlos Egay Jr. was present in the program, Mr. Roy Serdeña, the Head of the LIvelihood UNit, Mrs. Angelita B. Amista SWO Operation Divison Chief, some Prov'l. Board Members was there also to show their support to this program.

Gigaquit has 10 associations, each association composed of 15-30 members, and receives 2,022,000.00. Each recipient received 10,000.00 each in a form of loan. This money will be used to put their own business so that when Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program ends, they will have their fallback. They are encouraged to to use the money wisely and think of a business that will sustain for years. They will be paying this loan for 1 year and NO INTEREST.
