The Local Government Unit of Gigaquit together with the 13 Brgy. Officials and DepEd teachers from elementary to high school, joined the celebration of our Nation's 113th Independence Day, last June 12, 2011 at the Freedom Park of Gigaquit.
The celebration started with a mass in the morning, followed by the flag raising in front of the Municipal Hall, and a short program afterward.
Despite of the rainy weather at that time, everybody stayed until the end of the ceremonies.
After the program was the "picnic at the park" whle others ate their food at Doot beach. There were videokes installed at the beach and at the park for the public to enjoy.
The whole celebration was a big success.
