Being spiritually healthy deep within oneself will lessen and reduce stresses in dealing with different situations in daily activities. Health problems may appear due to excessive ingestion of foods containing high cholesterol. More and more individuals are facing serious health problems. Common illnesses may appear at early 20s-30s like rheumatism, high blood pressure, diabetes etc. - these are the basic symptoms nowadays. Hence, a spiritual enhancement program was endorsed by some group of individuals whose concerns are responsible womanhood in the community and having healthy lifestyles.
The main point of the said activity was to promote a positive and healthy self-image and to reduce weary spirits through self discipline and dedication to God by committing oneself to Him. Dr. Sol Matugas lead this concerned citizensgroup in this one of a kind humanitarian awareness activity together with some doctors
who were the main speakers.
It was a great help to townspeople for this chance and opportunity that could enhance their quality of life. In coordination with the Local Government Unit of Gigaquit as a host municipality, this activity was done last January 28, 2010 at Saint Augustine Parish. It was participated by some selected leaders of different organizations, barangay officials and PPS Municipal Coordinators. Other municipalities also fully supported the program like Bacuag, Claver, Mainit, etc.
