Inauguration and Blessing of Various Projects (August 29, 2012)
Several projects which have been accomplished through the efforts of the Local
Government Unit of Gigaquit through the leadership of the Municipal Mayor Carlos
M. Egay were successfully inaugurated and blessed last August 29, 2012.

3rd Las-Ay Festival
The 3rd Las-ay Festival was celebrated last August 24, 2012 at the Gigaquit Beach. Gigaquit Rhum or Las-ay is an exotic and innovative rum product from the vast nipa palms of Gigaquit. The festival was celebrated to remind us that even before, 100 years ago that this rum already existed and became part of the livelihood of Lumad Gigaquitnons.

162nd Annual Town Fiesta
Gigaquitnons celebrated the 162nd annual Town Fiesta last August 18-29, 2012 in honor of their Patron Saint Augustine. The celebration was highlighted by various activities in which the people of Gigaquit participated and had much enjoyment.
